We are a group of distinct artists rooted in nature discovering new surroundings. Each one a familiar stranger with our own needs, desires, toolkits and vulnerabilities. We work to create dance that distils a unity that is felt in the performing spaces where we cast our spells. We inspire and support each other, and hope to beckon audiences into our world of beauty and equality. We are committed to what we do and believe that dance, music, and the arts are potent knowledge systems that align with nature and offer solutions to the crumbling culture we all face.
The process of our creation involves a lot of laughter, periods of challenge and confusion, managing and including our own personal trials in the room, as well as relying on personal methods and know hows. We're all different but probably what we share is our necessity to live this way, and to serve the artistic expression in spite of the challenges.
Trust is a critical part of our work; it enables us to touch those deeper parts of humanity inside our selves and carry the message from inside; inspiring audiences by sharing the experience. Ancient knowledge systems have been lost or destroyed everyone knows our current Western culture does not have all the answers. A lot of ideologies have reached their logical conclusion and we see the results of living in a disembodied culture of waste and exploitation. In the midst of war and oppression and injustice, it can feel that what we do is decorative or cosmetic or pointless, but dance is an urgent purpose of living, a good use of life and we have to keep on, dancing more, inviting others to dance too.
